PLEASE READ OUR ENTIRE RETURN POLICY PRIOR TO MAKING A RETURN OR EXCHANGE. You will need to provide certain information in order for us to complete your return or exchange.
Prior to shipment, all items shipped from our inventory receive a thorough inspection to assure our clients will be pleased when their purchase arrives. If you should need to return or exchange an item, please e-mail J'tara using the Contact Us Form within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of your merchandise to initiate a return or exchange. Please note, if planning to return an item it must be in its original condition and product packaging and, if applicable, its original undamaged gift box or bag. Products or packaging damaged or defaced by you, or products that smell of smoke, perfume, or are otherwise not in original condition are not returnable. In the event an item is returned that is damaged or is not in otherwise original condition, client shall be responsible for any loss in value and any refunds due client, if applicable, shall be reduced by the loss in value.
J'tara MUST be notified in writing via e-mail or standard mail within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of your merchandise prior to returning or exchanging an item. Specify your order number, which item(s) your are returning or exchanging, the reason for the return or exchange, your name and your e-mail address. (Clients who ordered by regular mail may phone J'tara for a return authorization number.) Upon receipt, a return authorization number will be e-mailed (or provided) to you, typically within 24 hours. You will then follow our STEP-BY-STEP RETURN INSTRUCTIONS and mail your return or exchange to J'tara within fourteen (14) calendar days from receipt of merchandise.
J'tara allows any item to be returned, including estate items, sale, as is, and clearance items, unless stated otherwise in the product page or listed as ineligible in our Return Policy. Return authorizations will not be given for merchandise that is not in original condition, has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you, or for incomplete or partial returns. Pre-ordered items are handled on a case-by-case basis and may not be return-eligible. We also do not accept returns on adjustable rings and cuff bracelets due to the possibility of damage. Items returned without a return authorization number will not be accepted. Refunds, if applicable, will be credited to your original payment method. In no instance will J'tara refund more than you paid initially for your purchase.
J'tara allows one (1) free exchange on any item (without additional shipping charges) for a different size, color or style of the same item, unless stated otherwise in the product description or listed in our Return Policy. Return authorizations will not be given for merchandise that is not in original condition, has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you, or for incomplete or partial returns. We also do not accept returns on adjustable rings and cuff bracelets due to the possibility of damage. Items returned without a return authorization number will not be accepted. Exchanges requested for an item not previously ordered or multiple exchanges of the same item will be treated as a new order and include sales tax and shipping charges, if applicable. Exchanges requested with a purchase price exceeding the original purchase price will be charged to your original payment method. Refunds, if applicable, will be credited to your original payment method. In no instance will J'tara refund more than you paid initially for your purchase.
Due to the limited quantities and unique nature of our merchandise, items being returned to J’tara for either a return or exchange must be postmarked within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of the order. Returns or exchanges not initiated within the ten (10) calendar day inspection period and/or not postmarked within fourteen (14) calendar days following receipt of the order will not be accepted. Exceptions to our return period, if any, will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Late returns or exchanges, if accepted, will be at the sole discretion of J’tara and will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, which will be subtracted from the refund amount.
A Special Holiday Gift Return and Exchange Period is offered from November 1 to Dec. 31. Items purchased during this period may be returned up until January 15 of the following year. Exceptions to this return period, if any, and late returns or exchanges will be handled in the same manner as as purchases made outside the Special Holiday Gift Return and Exchange Period (see above).
Refunds will be made based on the price you paid for the item, not the current price. Refunds will be issued by J’tara to your original method of payment normally within ten (10) business days of receipt of the return, provided your original payment has cleared our bank, the return has been made in accordance with our Return Policy and within the designated return period, and the item has been received safely by J’tara. It may take one or two billing cycles for a refund to appear on your credit/debit card or bank statement. PayPal credits are a function of PayPal itself and are based on PayPal credit timeframes. We are not responsible for PayPal crediting times. Items being returned due to damage may require additional handling and research time, which may delay the issuing of your refund.
Return postage and insurance costs are your responsibility. We do not accept COD returns. Original postage, handling, and insurance costs are non-refundable unless an item has a designer or manufacturer defect, an error has been made by J'tara, or in certain other rare circumstances. In such instances, refunds for postage, handling, and insurance costs, if any, will be prorated based on the items being returned or exchanged. Refunds will not be issued by J'tara for partial returns or for merchandise which has been worn, used, laundered, modified, customized, personalized, or damaged by you. Refunds will not be issued for adjustable rings and cuff bracelets as they are not return eligible. Pre-ordered items are handled on a case-by-case basis and may not be return-eligible. No refunds or credits will be given for merchandise returned to us without a Return Authorization number.
If you have returned an ENTIRE order (all items in the order) which included a "free gift with purchase", you must return the "free gift with purchase". If you did not return the "free gift with purchase" or the "free gift with purchase" is returned in damaged or used condition, your refund will be reduced by the retail cost of the "free gift with purchase" as defined by us. If the return or exchange is being made due to defective merchandise or a J'tara error, you may keep the "free gift with purchase" without charge.
Shipping charges will not be refunded on refused shipments, shipments to undeliverable or wrong addresses, or for unsuccessful deliveries following multiple delivery attempts. Client refunds may also be reduced by any additional charges J'tara incurs attempting to deliver or redeliver your shipment. (See Shipping and Delivery in our Terms and Conditions for more information.) Additionally, clients will incur a 15% restocking fee on merchandise returned due to one of the above reasons, as well as a charge for all actual shipping costs, even if the order was sent out with free shipping. For example, if your order total was $100.00 and our shipping cost was $7.95 but it shipped to you for free, your refund will be reduced by $15.00 for restocking, minus our actual shipping cost of $7.95, and you will be refunded $77.05. If we incurred additional charges to deliver your package due to an incorrect address or for one of the reasons stated above, your refund will be reduced further for those charges. In no case will clients be credited for original shipping charges on items which were shipped with free shipping.
Return shipping charges for merchandise you are returning are your responsibility. Should merchandise be damaged or lost during return transit from you to J'tara, we will notify you and it will be your responsibility to file a claim with your courier for reimbursement. Therefore, it is advisable to always obtain tracking and insurance coverage when returning or exchanging an item.
Should you have an issue with a refund or are dissatisfied for any reason, we request that you contact J'tara to discuss your issue prior to filing a dispute with PayPal or your bank or credit/debit card company. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will work with you to resolve your issue.
