J'tara's use of personal information submitted through this Web site is governed by the J'tara Privacy Policy. Your privacy is important to J'tara. We provide this notice to better protect your privacy and personal information. Providing this information allows you to make choices about the way your information is collected and used. Our Privacy Policy only applies to online data collection and does not apply to information J'tara has collected either off-line or through other means.


Personally Identifiable Information. We may collect the following information ("Personally Identifiable Information") when you contact us, register, or order on the Web site: name, e-mail, contact details, and, if purchasing goods or services, credit card, bank account, or payment information. If you request Specialty Services, additional Personally Identifiable Information may be collected. Personal information about you is an integral part of our business. We will never share your credit card, banking, or financial information with anyone other than the banks or processors required to process your transaction. 

We will use the information you provide to process registrations, provide you with services on our Web site, and share information with you. In some cases, an outside service provider, vendor, or company may be contracted by us to fulfill a specific request or obligation to you. Your Personally Identifiable Information will not be disclosed to any third party except when we deem it necessary to fulfill a specific request or obligation to you, or in certain other limited situations as described below: 

Legally Required Obligations. We may release your Personally Identifiable Information in order to comply with a valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, or to report fraud or suspected fraud, theft, or in preventing, detecting and investigating security incidents and potentially illegal or prohibited activities. 

Employees, Agents, Representatives, Subcontractors, and Service Providers. In the course of doing business, it may be necessary for certain other persons to have access to your Personally Identifiable Information. Unless we notify you otherwise, these persons do not have any right to use Personally Identifiable Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. This may include your Personally Identifiable Information and Traffic Data with our partners who perform operational services (such as hosting, billing, record-keeping, customer service, fulfillment, data storage, security, shipping, Web site analytics, or ad serving) and/or who make certain services, features or functionality available to our users. You hereby consent to our sharing your Personally Identifiable Information for the above purposes.

Business Transfers. In the unlikely event that J'tara or any portion of J’tara is acquired by, transferred to, or sold to a third party, is involved in a merger, acquisition, consolidation, restructuring, reorganization, liquidation, or similar transaction, goes out of business, or enters bankruptcy, Personally Identifiable Information about our clients may be a company asset that is transferred or sold to a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any such person or entity that may acquire J'tara's assets may continue to use your Personally Identifiable Information as set forth in this policy.

Protection of J’tara and Others. We may release Personally Identifiable Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law, enforce the Agreement, or protect the rights, property, or safety of J'tara, its affiliates, employees, clients, users, agents, representatives, subcontractors, services providers, or others, or to protect against any action we deem potentially harmful to our interests or to such persons. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud prevention, detection, and protection and credit risk reduction. 

Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

In General. We may collect information through technology that does not identify you personally in order to make our site more interesting and useful. This information may also be used to optimize the Web site performance within a given browser and increase the speed of navigation.

  1. Cookies and Other Technologies. We may use a standard feature in browser software called “cookies” and/or other technologies or files (collectively, “cookies”) to enhance your experience with our site. Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Protecting the privacy of underage children is extremely important to us. Our products and services are not intended for use by children under the age of 18,  and the Terms and Conditions governing the use of our Web site require that you must be at least 18 years old to use the Web site. We never collect or maintain information on the Web site from those under the age of 18. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected information about a child under the age of 18, that information will be immediately deleted from our records.


J'tara uses e-mail and direct mail to communicate with our clients about our latest products, services, sales, upcoming events, and other important information. By contacting us, ordering from us, or signing up (subscribing) with us, we will use your contact information to send you e-mails and or other promotional notices, and to respond to requests for information or assistance from you. 

If you do not wish to receive either e-mail or direct mail from us with promotional offers, or information about our sales or services, you may unsubscribe or opt out by writing to us at Client Services, J'tara, P.O. Box 2184, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 or e-mail us and provide your name, address and phone number. Please state which type of mail you wish to no longer receive. Removal requests are promptly processed, typically within 48 hours. Previously scheduled mailings, including e-mails, may continue for up to 30 days until mailings/e-mails already in process are completed. Please note, by unsubscribing, you will continue to receive e-mail and/or direct mail regarding any orders you have placed with us, and correspondence regarding any transactions pertaining to your orders.  

Persons who furnish J'tara with their telephone number may be contacted by us via telephone regarding orders they have placed with us. We do not contact you by phone for advertising or solicitation purposes. If you do not wish to be contacted by telephone regarding your orders, you may write to us at Client Services, J'tara, P.O. Box 2184, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 or e-mail us and provide your name, address and phone number and request no contact by phone so that we may update your preferences. 


Both PayPal and J'tara use industry-standard encryption technology to keep your data secure. Our Web site is protected with a secure SSL Certificate. Banking and credit/debit card information you provide to PayPal is protected to ensure encryption on all of your transactions with industry-standard e-commerce technology. We do not receive or store your financial information in our system when you place an order on our Web site. By voluntarily using PayPal to process your payments, you agree to PayPal's Privacy and Security policies, including their Terms and Conditions. 

J'tara also maintains physical and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. To help further prevent unauthorized access to your account and to your Personally Identifiable Information, you must choose a strong and unique password, never use the same password on more than one site, do not make purchases or access your account when using a public wi-fi hot spot, never share your password with anyone, maintain up-to-date firewalls and security software, install the latest version of your browser, limit access to your computer, phone, other electronic devices, and browser to others, and sign off after you have finished accessing your account. In the event your personal information is lost, stolen, or used without your permission, you must promptly notify us.

J'tara endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private, however, J'tara cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry, interception, or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

The Web site may contain links to other sites. J'tara is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site, you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Web site.


You agree that any information you may post online in our blog, in product reviews, or in any forum or online discussion is intentionally open to the public and is not in any way private. You also agree that any information you post is subject to editing prior to our use. We recommend that you carefully consider whether to disclose any Personally Identifiable Information in any public posting or forum. In doing so, you understand that what you have written may be seen and/or collected by third parties and may be used by others in ways we are unable to control or predict.  

Furthermore, you agree that any information you provide as a product or service testimonial is subject to editing prior to our use, and although we only identify you by your initials, you understand that what you have written may be seen and/or collected by third parties and may be used by others in ways we are unable to control or predict. In addition, we are under no obligation to use any information you provide to us directly or online and use of any information is at our sole discretion.


This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we currently collect, and the ways we use and protect that information. From time to time, we may collect different types of information and use that information in different ways. For example, when we add features or services to J'tara's Web site, we may edit this policy to explain the new practices. Because protecting your privacy is very important to us, we do not expect major changes in policy.
